So in what B and I call “another JB special” (it’s an inside joke…I’ll tell you later) two of our bushes nearest to our house didn’t last through the past winter. That combined with the fact that the plants are THE WORST for kids (they are prickly beyond belief) and are THE WORST for B (because we found out he is allergic to them), I decided that we were going to spend our Easter treat (a Lowe’s gift card) from my parents replacing them.
After A LOT of work digging them out (hence why there are no pictures of this process, I thought they had attached themselves to the cement at one point), and clipping their branches we put our new little plant into place. And I do mean little:
Right now it does not look like much, but once it grows, it will be a fluffy five by five pouf of a plant. J LOVES gardening, and he helped in every step, from digging out the old plants, to throwing away their branches and clippings, to helping plant the new plant.
