So last week B took the entire week off. He hasn’t been able to do that since he started working, so it was great. We hung out, slept in, stayed up late, played lots of Minecraft, Mario, Candyland, and had many Nerf Gun chases and basketball practices. I almost think it’s going to be harder to go back to school this next week than it is in the summer! I took a break from blogging for the week, ate lots of homemade chocolate mint and did quite a bit of reading. We are looking forward to every adventure, birthday, celebration, and moment in 2016! Here’s a little re-cap from our Christmas Celebration!
B’s parents celebrated Christmas with us earlier in the week and the boys were excited to get some presents early…it’s always nice to spread out putting together the Lego sets!
On Christmas Eve we went to the Christmas Eve service at our church, had our annual holiday ham and fixings, and the boys opened their ornaments from my parents:On Christmas morning A excitedly declared that “he got everything he wanted!” which was wonderful to hear, and J was just loving all of his new stuffed animals and his Jake and the Neverland hideout that he’d asked for since August:
The boys huddled together playing and setting up all of their new games and we took our annual family photo (but not before testing out the camera angle with a few star jump poses): Hope your Christmas was as merry as ours! Welcome to the new year!
