Simple G.I. Joe Birthday Party

G.I. Joe Party ThemeEarlier in the year A decided he wanted to have a hiking birthday party. Then he changed his mind at least twenty times and when I finally made him decide on a theme he picked G.I. Joe. G.I. Joe party theme items can be difficult to come by, so I had to do a bit of searching. Here is what I came up with and how I planned it all out…

I ordered the G.I. Joe theme elements from amazon (plates, confetti, thank you notes, and tablecloth). I found the invitations on Etsy for a great price and printed them out.

G.I. Joe Party ThemeThose were the only items that didn’t seem ridiculously over priced (8 dollars for paper cups is a no go for me).

I supplemented those items with camouflage items that I found at Hobby Lobby:

G.I. Joe Party ThemeAnd finally I made a banner out of duct tape with A’s Instagram pictures from the year, I made a find it scavenger hunt game, and I made a G.I. Joe table runner:

G.I. Joe Party ThemeAnd now here is some of the decorations in action! A’s kids’ party was at our local nature preserve (keeping the hiking theme from before), and then we had a family party that night, so I made sure most of the decorations got double use.

G.I. Joe Party ThemeIt turned out really great! I went more low key than I have in previous years and it was nice to not be rushing around the day of the party because I had taken on too many decorating ideas.
