Shrimp Fried Rice & Bao Buns

Shrimp fried riceWhen your husband decides he’s going to start stir frying on the grill, it’s best to get out your camera and document the experience….

B started with about 3/4 of a lb of uncooked shrimp and cooked it in canola oil until done (about 4-5 minutes):

Then he set that aside and added diced yellow & red peppers and garlic and sauteed that:

Then he added in four whisked eggs:

He let those begin to cook and then he added peas, corn, ham (about a cup each), and his pre-cooked rice (don’t even ask me how he makes rice…I’m terrible at making rice):

And while he made all that I steamed Bao Buns that I had prepped earlier (start these about thirty minutes before the fried rice because the fried rice comes together fast):

The boys were initially a bit hesitant, but they loved it!

Shrimp Fried RiceAs I’ve talked about before, B and A both have allergies to soy sauce, so this meal was soy free. However, if you want to make a more traditional fried rice, you can feel free to add soy sauce to taste!
