The other weekend we finally completed our raised vegetable bed! It is a 6 foot by 4 foot rectangle and is 1 foot deep. The bed was filled with some stinky soil and we went to the store to get some veggie seeds. Why veggies? Well I tried to plant cupcakes but that didn’t turn out too well.
We planted tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, parsley, terragon and jalepeno’s so far. Maybe some squash too. The bed is dividied into 1 foot by 1 foot squares so we still have some empty squares to plant more goodies once we decide on what else to put in. I accidently went a little overboard on the cucumber seeds and planted 6 instead of 3. Oops. If anyone wants some cucumbers in a few weeks just let me know.
I was just now looking for info about this when I stumbled on your post. I’m only dropping by to say that I really enjoyed seeing this post, it’s really well written. Are you thinking of writing more about this? It seems like there’s more fodder here for future posts.
