Do you ever have moments where you hear “Mommy, don’t forget….” at 7:00 on a Sunday night and you think “AHHHHHHHHHHH!” Because of course you forgot. As I did. Sunday night A reminded me that Monday was Dr. Seuss day. And he decided he did want to dress up (not always the case with A). And he decided he wanted to be Thing 2.
After a trip up to our attic I found a red t-shirt, and an old Christmas tree skirt. I flipped the shirt inside out and pinned a Thing 2 sign to the front. Then I made a pattern out of a pair of A’s jeans and sewed them up at 9:30 that night while watching the Oscars. Boom. Thing 2 costume! And J couldn’t help but photo bomb a picture of his brother. He’s the Ham from Green Eggs and Ham. HA!
In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday here is a stack of our favorite Dr. Seuss stories!
We also love Ten Apples up on Top, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and the boys favorite to read at my parents: Green Eggs and Ham. Our favorite library Dr. Seuss choices are Horton Hears a Who and Hop on Pop! Happy Thursday!
