We had freezing fog this week, and for a brief few hours our backyard was straight out of an Ansel Adams picture book.
I read Studio McGee’s book and it was inspiring from start to finish. I appreciated how openly they discussed struggling to find balance when you have work success. This year I’m working towards finding space to be me as a person, not just me as mom, wife, employee, etc. It’s not perfect. But it’s better!
Two of the things that I’m really enjoying right now are my daily Bible reading plan, and the 30 day Yoga with Adriene Breath Series. The Breath series has been excellent, especially for me as a runner. Which apparently after six months, I am.
I’ve been trying to come up with some different dinners that are a spin on things we already have in the freezer or fridge. This flaky white fish and beans dish, and this tortilla soup are on point. Most of these items I already have on hand, so my grocery list this week will be shorter!
After the boys go to bed we are watching The History of Swear Words, which is hilarious, informative,…and not for kids.
Finally, I’m loving lavender right now, both in the typeface of this pullover, and then in this full sweater and coat look.
And one more picture from our backyard as the sun started to melt the ice away:
