Friday Favorites

Captain’s log: Week 1 of “blended learning” is done. A is taking longer on his assignments than we expected, J is taking less time and we are having to supplement his to extend the time. I’m still getting up at 5:30 every morning to do my daily Bible Study, check my email, and grade for an hour before the boys get up. Things at home feel a bit like the movie Groundhog Day, each day is fairly similar to the next, while there is a lot of chaos going on in the world around us. Today is Gold Friday, which means only some work in the morning, and watching a movie in the afternoon. Some of the boys’ favorites of the week have been Disney Behind the Scenes, Mystery Doug Science, Henry Huggins books, and The Ranger’s Apprentice series. And here are my favorites of the week!

Learning art history at home.

Make-up routine for when I have Zoom meetings.

Decorating built-ins.

Narrowing your focus.

Homemade croissants because, why not?

Home office ideas.

Layered Mexican lasagna.

Finally, a tribute to home.
